Last week, we enjoyed a great Southern Florida Concierge Association Meeting at the Bass Museum in South Beach. It's such a beautiful venue for not only a party, but of course to look at art. At Family Rentals, we're proud to be sponsor members of the SFCA. The work they do for tourism in South Florida is commendable and we're happy to support them in any way. We work closely with the concierge of the fine hotels in South Florida to supply items to their guests and also to the hotels in general. We also sponsor concierge meetings to provide anything they need from linens to tables and beyond.

At last week's meeting, we were treated to food from Pasha's and other South Florida restaurants, and we mixed and mingled in the courtyard under the stars. The party was to kickoff new tours from South Beach Art Tours. Susana Baker of South Beach Art Tours gave a great presentation, and the tours should be a wonderful way to get a taste of the art scene in South Beach at leading museums and galleries with a personal guide.

After Susana's presentation, she told us to head to the gallery upstairs for a special surprise. We walked up the ramp where Erwin Wurm's scultpures are on display and inside was a beautiful blonde in a stunning red gown. She sang two operatic arias for us and her voice was absolutely heavenly. When she finished, the crowd clapped for an encore.

Next, we ventured through the museum to view its permanent collection of ancient tapestries and relics from the Egyptians. The party ended with goody bags from Macy's with some great items, like perfume samples, gift certificates, and discount cards. it was a great night mingling with South Florida's hospitality and service professionals--always a world class night when the SFCA is in charge!

Today, let's talk about prize #2, our full-sized baby crib. South Florida's high season officially commences at the start of November with a slew of exciting events. It's also the beginning of the holdiay season when snowbirds nest in the sunshine belt, and family and friends make visits. If you've got a new grandbaby coming down for regular visits, we can help prepare a "pop-up" or permanent nursery with a crib and some of our many other rental items for baby, such as toddler beds, playpens, high chairs, car seats, and strollers. This way, the new mama and papa can travel light when they make their South Florida visit. We're happy to consult and assist in any way needed.
